About Tania

Tania is a Conservative Party activist and NHS medical doctor with experience of working for refugees abroad and in the UK.

Tania served as Twickenham's Member of Parliament from 2015 to 2017 and was also a local councillor from 2010 to 2015 and a school governor. During her Parliamentary term of office she was Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Heathrow and was also interim Chair of the House Of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee.

Tania has been a volunteer in various Conservative Party roles including:

mentor for new members of the Conservative Women's Organisation;

board member of Tories for Climate Action;

host for Richmond Park and North Kingston Conservative Policy Forum.

 

Tania has experience of local and national charities and this voluntary work has included:

patron of a local charity specialising in school pupils and young persons' mental health;

volunteer reader for a charity that does weekly audio recordings of the week's news for residents who have a sight impairment;

voluntary medical doctor for a national charity working with refugees who have experienced torture.
